The Release Date of No Time To Die Postponed For the Third Time

The upcoming movie’s release date in James Bond, No Time To Die again, delayed release date. The team revealed the news after the release of two successful films, Wonder Woman 1984 and Mulan. The production team is confused about whether they should release the movie in theatres or on streaming platforms. Most of the theatres are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The James Bond movie series is based on MI6 agent James Bond, “007.” It is one of the longest existing film franchises. The franchise consists of 25 movies in the film series, and Pinewood Studios produces most of them. James Bond films have collected over a gross of $7 billion and are the sixth highest-grossing movie series of all time. The upcoming movie, No Time to Die, will be the first project distributed by United Artists. Cary Joji Fukunaga directed the movie, and Daniel Craig will be playing the character of James Bond for the fifth time. Alongside Craig, Ben Whishaw, Léa Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes, and Naomie Harris reprise their characters.

The last installment of the franchise was released in 2015. Since then, the fans of James Bond are impatiently waiting for the next project. The upcoming film No Time to Die would be the final adventure of 007, which has run the anticipation among the audience. The film was initially scheduled to be released in April 2020; however, due to COVID-19, the team postponed the release date twice. With the delay of almost a year, the movie is now scheduled for 2 April 2021 release. The film producer, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, has made it clear that they will release it in cinemas.

According to a Variety report, the financiers of the movie could rethink the current situation of theatres and releasing strategies. The audience is reluctant to come out of their house and public places like movie theatres during the pandemic. The Bond is one of the most anticipated films rescheduled in 2021, along with the other that Paramount’s Top Gun: Maverick and Marvel’s Black Widow.

The first James Bond movie, License To Kill released in 1989, and the franchise fans had to wait for six years for the next installment. And after a long wait, GoldenEye was released. The film series is now one of the best franchises. The upcoming installment is also releasing in a gap of six years after the last entry Spectre in 2015. The distributing partner of the movie No Time to Die made a reasonable profit after releasing Walt Dohrn’s Trolls World Tour as a video on demand. The Bond franchise is known for conducting its premiere in London’s Leicester Square. Hence the third delay in the release date might be the final nail to the coffin for video-on-demand release.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the film to release, and the third delay is a little heart-breaking for them. Hopefully, there will be no further rescheduling of the project.
