You must be waiting for the release of the first-ever Marvel series on Disney+. Aren’t you?
Well, January the 15th is just around the corner, but before you get lost in Wanda’s world, it is always advisable to get yourself in tune with what you are about to see. And to help you with this, the cast of the series, including Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Kathryn Hahn, and Teyonah Parris, have tried to elucidate about the upcoming MCU series.
Brace yourself, MCU Phase 4 is about to kick start, and the world is not ready.
Elizabeth Olsen starrer will arrive on Disney+ on January the 15th, 2021, and from the knowledge that is available in the public domain, not much is known about the TV series. We just know that it is a sitcom show (situational comedy), and it stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff (aka Scarlet Witch) and Paul Bettany as Vision (aka Jarvis), who live together in a world where they begin to suspect the nature of it. We also know that each episode will jump time a decade from the preceding one. And that’s about it.
What will happen beyond that is a subject of intense speculation and a profound mystery.
Of course, we know for a fact that the story is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and there are reports on the internet that suggests to us the fact that other creators from the wider areas of the cinematic universe are set to appear on the show, and one of such characters is Monica Rambeau. She was last seen in Brie Larson starrer Captain Marvel as a child (played by Azari Akbar and Akira Akbar), and now she will be seen as an adult (played by Teyonah Parris).
Other notable characters who will make a return to the MCU include Darcy (played by Kat Dennings and last seen in Thor: The Dark World) and Jimmy Woo (played by Randall Park and last seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp).
However, the biggest question in the town is what is this “WandaVision”? What is it about?
The cast of the show led by Paul Bettany has now spoken about the show and have tried their level best to unveil the curtain of obscurity whilst maintaining the prerequisite requirement of secrecy.
Elizabeth Olsen recently spoke on the Jimmy Kimmel show that the show explores Wanda and Vision living peacefully in the suburb and trying their best not to reveal their superhero identity. At its core, the show is an interesting sitcom intertwined with all the elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She did reveal that the show will pay tributes to the old sitcoms.
Paul Bettany also said the same thing and added that while you might feel that the show is a sitcom, it is essentially an MCU story, which he conceded will be difficult to recognize.
He further explained that the two people with extraordinary superpowers are thrown into a world that looks like a 1950s America, and then they begin to jump time at a roller coaster speed, which ultimately makes the two wonder ‘what in the world is going on?’
Teyonah Parris has also tried to help fans, but even she did not add further than saying that the show is a combination between a traditional American sitcom and a familiar Marvel set up which we have become accustomed to.
She promised that the viewers would get entertained with everything they will see on the show as it has been made with so much passion.
Elizabeth Olsen also promised that everyone would get all the answers they have been looking for at the end as the intention is not just to mess with the viewers.
We are all excited about the show. Aren’t we?
