Destiny 2: How to Acquire Lament Exotic Sword

Several powerful weapons exist in Destiny 2, and the Lament Exotic Sword is one of them. Swords in Destiny 2 are among the most reliable weapons for every situation, but win the battle or defeat the boss real quick, and then there’s nothing more powerful than Lament Exotic Sword. For a long time in Destiny 2, the Fallen Guillotine was considered the most powerful sword, but after the Lament sword’s arrival, its ranking has dropped.

There are so many things about the Lament Sword that players love. Its high DPS value is a bigger hit for the players. Also, to obtain this powerful weapon, players have to go through a great journey. So if you’re still struggling to find this exotic weapon, here’s the guide for you.

Why is Lament So Great?

As mentioned above, its damage value is pretty high that attracts the players. While facing a boss or a regular for, players can always rely on this DPS king.

To get the best result out of Lament, players will have to learn how to work chainsword’s motor running. The process player follows to get the shield from the normal sword, and they will have to use the same process with Lament’s chain to begin whirring. Once it is activated, a shining red light will start to appear around the character.

After the chainsword starts whirring, move on to the combo section. In order to make a perfect combo, players have to tap the button with pace, instead of just hitting the attack button randomly. To begin with, a heavy combo and instantly hit four light attacks. Follow this combo lineup, and you’ll see a heavy damage number over your opponent.

How to Find Lament

The first thing players will have to do is enter The Tower and interact with Banshee-44 and get the Exotic Quest “Lost Lament.” It’s the 11th quest, so probably it will be a long run for players.

Step 1: Locate Three Dead Exos

Fortunately, there are a total of 9 dead exos scattered across the Europa, and you only need to find any three of them. Some of the dead exos will appear while playing the main missions and these will automatically be added to the quest. There’s no need to spend time on this process because if anyone has already found three or more than that, this step will be over instantly.

Step 2: Locate Giant Exo Head

This AI head is placed right at the bottom of the Exoscience Facility. You can enter this place from the right side of the door from the facility entrance. Shoot the giant head, and this step will be over too.

Step 3: Kill Vex with Swords

Clovis’s AI requires sword data, so you have to go and eliminate every Vex you see using your sword. You can find plenty of Vex around Europa, so it won’t be a tough task for anyone. If you’re close to Perdition or Bunker E15 lost sectors, enter these because you’ll find plenty of Vex there. You’ll have to eliminate 100 Vex and 20 Cyclops, Minotaurs, and Hydras using the sword.

Step 4: Perform Three Empire Hunts

Players who have already opened the Empire Hunt section and finished it, they don’t need to do anything in this step. But if anyone hasn’t completed it, then they have to complete the whole Beyond Light questline first, and then the post-Beyond Light quest will be unlocked before the Empire Hunts. After you finish the quest, go and interact with Variks and collect the Empire Hunts for the Herealways Pieces.

Step 5: Finish Exo Challenge

In this section, you’ll need to complete the entire Beyond Light and post-campaign quests. Once done, you’ll get to access the Exo Challenge. The challenge you’ll get from Variks is “Old Secrets, New Challenges.” In this first challenge, you’ll have to climb the mountain in a highly freezing temperature. So keep yourself warm by bonfires that are placed on the path.

Step 6: Eliminate Vex with Finishers

Get back to Bunker E15 or the Perdition and begin Vex. There you’ll need to complete 60 Vex for moving to the next procedure. The following procedure will not be very easy, but it worked properly, it can be finished in a few attempts.

Step 7: Locate Blade Pieces

To get the Blade pieces, you’ll have to defeat the final boss of The Gateway. Once done, you simply need to walk close to the boss and pick the Blade pieces.

Step 8: Return to Banshee-44

In the following section, you’ll have to get back to blade pieces and hear Banshee’s story. Once done, move back to Europa for another step.

Step 9: Locate the Lament’s Blueprint In the Abandoned Bunker

The abandoned bunker is located in E15 Lost Sector, and the Lament’s blueprints are inside a chest. It will be the final chest that will appear at the end of the Lost Sector. Once done, move back to E15 and be ready for the next step.

Step 10: Reforging the Past

It’s a mission that will be available after coming out from the E15 lost sector. In the first section of this mission, you’ll have to pick a tank to drive all around Braytech Exocience Facility in the Cadmus Ridge. But be careful while driving the tank because this one has no guns or rockets.

Take down the Vex using the tank and rescue Clovis Bray’s AI. Once you do this, he will give you Lament. Use this weapon and takedown every Vex in your area. Make sure you have space to carry this weapon. Once you clear all the Vex, head back to Banshee-44 for the final step.

Step 11: Return to Banshee-44

Surprisingly, Banshee-44 will be Clovis Bray. Lament belongs to him, but he will let you keep it permanently.

Conclusion

Undoubtedly, Lament sword is the best sword of Destiny 2: Beyond Light right now, but to get this, players have to do so many things correctly. While completing the tasks, remember not to miss any of them. It could take some time to finish, but eventually, players will obtain it.
